My car clicks turning left or right, especially tight turns. I was told that I need to replace both front axles, in fact, they were dangerous! I don't hear or feel any grinding or weirdness when I turn, is this mechanic just trying to scare me or is it something that I should be concerned about?

1999 Nissan Sentra Question: If I replace both left & right front axles does this fix the CV joint?

The clicking noise when turning your 1999 NIssian Sentra left or right is most likely coming from one or more of the "CV" joints. There are two CV joints on each axle for a total of 4, 2 inner and 2 outer. The outer CV joints are most likely causing the noise. Replacing both axles will take care of all 4 CV joints. This repair should be taken care of sooner than later as the joint could wear to the point of breaking.
