Question: Idling low after battery change

I just changed the battery in my 06 Solara and whenever I stop its idling at 500 RPM's. Has anyone else experienced this or know what may be causing it?

    The idle speed is controlled by the engine computer and the computer makes small adaptions to keep the idle speed correct. When you replaced the battery you reset the computer adaption setting and they need a little time to reset or you may need to have a shop reset this for you.

    I have the same issue. Dead battery. The low idle around 500 rpm with AC on. Turn off the AC and it goes lower. Not what I expected. How to reset computer? Drive a while? I have no check engine light on now or before. Would guess it will come on if a sensor or throttle componet is failed.
