Question: idler pulley replacement

 Rookie

Does the bolt on the idler pulley need to be turned clockwise to take it off instead of the usual way? Because the bolt on mine is hard to get off and i want to make sure im turning it the right way.

• If a/c compressor is taken out what about the serpentine belt?
  If the a/c compressor is taken out then how would the serpentine belt be rerouted? Or does it have to be replaced and not taken out if there is a serpentine belt?
