Question: idle surge, coolant leak

 Rookie

With no regularity or decipherable pattern, the truck idle begins to surge. It rises and falls from 750 to rpm. It seems to happen only with the brake applied. When this happens, the coolant tank gets overfilled and squirts out the overflow tube. Any suggestions?
