When driving my car (with the AC on)i notice when coming to a stop with the clutch in and it idles down, it bounces. Almost to where it stalls. It doesn't do it with the AC off. And it will not bounce when it idles unless you give it gas and let it idle down with the clutch in.

    Hi, When was the last time a tune up was done and how many miles are on the car?

    HI,carbon build up is a common problem. Remove the throttle body and clean with soap/water mixture and air hose should do the trick. GL Ted

    hey 2007 Cobalt SS/SC here 76000 miles

    car is well taken care of and in excellent condition, mine does the same when A/C on, its normal b/c the a/c puts strain on the engine and the computer is making up for the loss of power

    But mine almost stalls sometimes. Some one told me to clean out the throttle body because the plate gets build up on it. I'm going to take it apart and spray the plate down with throttle body cleaner and see what happens. Thanks for the feed back.

    remove the throttle body and clean with carb clearner.. its very simple four bolts and about fifteen minutes and your done....then she'll run sweet!

    Thanks for your reply. But i have heard stories about using carb cleaner on it being too harsh for the throttle body. That there is a coating on the body it's self to keep the carbon from collecting and by using cab cleaner it takes that coating off.
