2003 Volvo S40 Question: I went to start my car at first i could not turn the key all the way to the fron

MY car will not srart at all,the key turns but it do notmake a sound, some say check the wire to the starter, i just put a alternator on, ball joint on the front right .the problem is where is the starter located at, the guy thats working on my car cannot find the starter, is it the starter?someone please answer me. i miss my car,i need a wheel alignmentalso.it did it Sunday but now it willnot start at all

    Have the battery tested.

    Have the battery charged and tested. The starter is in the front (radiator side of engine). You need to remove the lower plastic engine under shield and lower air charge intake pipe to get axcess to the starter to check it for power on the starter wire and or do voltage drop tests n the main power cable. Start with the basics first see that the battery is OK!

    O.K. Patrick i forgot to mention that my headlights work,the C.D. player plays the lights on the inside come on the tow truck driver from triple A says there is nothing wrong with my battery, i mean it will not even not click the horn blows i need help about getting my baby back on the road. but i thank you from the bottom of heart for helping me Patrick.     The triple a wrecker driver knows that the battery is good how? Did he use a tester to test the battery?

    PARTS GUY is right have the battery tested with the proper testing equipment.

    Just because your lights and CD player works doesn't mean your battery is good.
