1999 Jeep Cherokee Q&A

1999 Jeep Cherokee Question: I was told that my passenger power window was off track.

How much is that to repair? Thank you, -
Answer 1
It's not off track. Lift cables are broken, this comes as a complete unit with motor. So you need the window lift assembly! After market part is approx. 135.00. Labor is approx. 100.00. Glass shop may be cheaper! Shop around but keep in mind the lowest price may not yield the best repair. -

THE MOTOR COMES ATTACHED TO THE REGULATOR AND THE REGULATOR IS WHAT YOUR PROBLEM IS! I've fixed to many of these, i guess. ENJOY! -

Super cheap if you don't care whether or not your window goes up & down anymore... My passenger window came off track during winter so I just took the door panel off, pushed the window all the way back up, stuck a piece of wood underneath the window, and bolted it through the inner side of the door to hold it in place. Popped the door panel back on and you'd never know anything even happened - well, unless you try to roll the window down. Worked like a charm! Who needs the passenger window when you have an AC anyway? -
