Changed starter but now car turns Over but won't start could it be my timing belt

Question: I was driving my car and it stoped and wouldn't start.

start checking fuel pressure, check if you have spark, check if you have broken timing belt by removing your distributor cap and try to start the engine then have somebody look at the rotor if its turns over. good luck.

For what reason was the starter changed? The starter would not have caused the engine to stop.

It would not start...so Mich had the starter changed in hopes that it would start.
