Question: i was driveing down the road and my van stopped running

it turns over fine but it acts like it isnt getting any fuel not sure thou. i know the fuel pump is in the gas tank but is there some way to prove its bad before i go thru all of that and is there pssibly a fuse or relay i can check because it didnt studder it just stopped i am getting no codes on the computer

    FIRST,HOOK FUEL PRESSURE GUAGE UP TO CHECK FOR PUMP PRESS. IF NONE THEN CHECK
    FUSES/RELAY.MAY BE ABLE TO HERE PUMP RUN BY LISTENING AT FILLER NECK,CAP OFF,WHILE
    SOMEONE TURNES KEY ON.PUMP WILL ONLY RUN A COUPLE OF SECONDS.THEN BUMP STARTER
    AND LISTEN AGAIN.NEXT CHECK FOR IGNITION FIRE. THERE IS GAS IN TANK RIGHT?

    by the throttle body in the fuel line there is a schrader valve with a blk cap, remove cap push down valve (like letting air out of a tire)turn on key be careful not to get gas in your eyes. if no gas comes out suspect f/p. again wear safety goggles

    I am experiencing the same issue on my 1996 Express van. 5.7 V8. Please clarify your answer - turn on key meaning start engine? Clarify your comment " suspect f/p ". Thanks for your help.

    NO JUST TURN KEY TO "ON" DO NOT TRY TO START THE ENGINE. THEN BACK TO OFF THEN ON ECT.
    WHILE SOMEONE LISTENS AT FILLER NECK WITH GAS CAP REMOVED. SHOULD HEAR PUMP RUN FOR
    ABOUT 2 SECONDS EACH TIME KEY IS CYCLED.
