2002 Chevrolet Camaro Question: I need to R&R the rear tranny seal. Is there any special procedure or surprises

    remove the driveshaft and the seal is there. the problem is that in most cases, the rear bushing in the trans is the real reason for the seal failure. if you replace it and it still leaks, then you will need to take it to a shop for further repairs.

    The application is for my 2002 Camaro SS. Is the bushing a pressed fit?

    yes, pressed into the output housing.

    remove the crossmember, bullet for the speedometer and then the 4 bolts for the housing.
