 Rookie

I have a 2002 hyundai accent. I just replaced the battery yesturday because it went completly dead. my battery light and parking brake light is on and wont go away. THis morning my brand new battery is almost dead again. i just repaced the starter and alternator less then 3 months ago but it seems the battery isnt getting charged back up. Can some please help. Thank you Jennifer

    its not a battery light, its alternator charge or not charging -if its on- its not charging, alternator may have a warranty , check wire connections on alternator, the charge light and brake light are tied together with a diode so i wouldnt worry about that til charge light is off, i am guessing itll go off .. autozone has warranties on alternators

    I would agree with the above answer. It would appear that the alternator is not charging and will cause both the battery light and brake light to illuminate. If you would like to have it checked to be sure I will give you a free charging system check here at our facility. Just call 770-945-1399 and tell them Bob sent you and you can make an appointment to bring it in. We can do it while you wait.
