i just changed my air filter but it seems that my fuel consumption has increased on 2009 Nissan Versa

Key word "seems"! Check the actual mileage and compare to previous mpg.

no, everything is normal. The consumption is still above normal after checking the mpg. Plz confirm if a non genuine air filter can be the causal factor. Thank you
