2007 Ford Expedition

 

Question: i have what seems like a skip in my engine when i'm throttling around 50 mph.

fills like a misfire but the vehicle isn't reading any codes or anything. but when i put injector cleaner in it, it runs fine for a while. i've had the injectors cleaned and a new fuel filter but the problem resurfaces after about 2 or three 3 days

    poss vac leak. is idle slightly higher than normal. if not read live data and it will show misfire info

    I'd suspect boots between your plugs and coils. Set about $35 bucks at your local auto parts store. I can tell you these motors eat coils. If boots don't fix maybe just buy one coil (about $42)and alternate starting new one on cylinder #1 and change throughout through #8 and see if somewhere you find problem. Good luck with all rear cylinders cuz there difficult to reach! Maybe start with #1 then #2 then #5 then #6- hopefully you'll find on one of front cylinders.
