first thing in the morning when i try to start my van, i have to click the starter at least 30 times before it turns over. it doesnt drag so i dont think it is the starter itself or the fly wheel, could it be a bad selenoid? i need a diagram to see if the selenoid is a seperate component to the starter?

It probably is a separate solenoid , But you need to make sure your battery is good and all the battery connections are clean and tight. Stop by your local Napa auto parts store and have them test your battery and give you a price on the solenoid and starter
