2007 Chrysler Sebring Question: I have sluge problem what do I do to fix it replace motor how much willthat cost

I am told the 3rd cyclinder is at 75psi while the other 3 are 195psi also I am told that it can not be rebored because it will make walls to thin I am told I need to replace the engine is this true.

    The low compression in cylinder three may be due to valve work caused by sludge...there is no way to see if you need reboring unless the engine is apart...either way, you do need another engine.

    Get a second opnion from another shop! Could be one of the four valves in # 3 stuck or burned.
    That can be repaired.
