I have no spark at the spark plugs. on 2001 Mitsubishi Galant

I've checked the battery, fuses, plug wires, etc. It turns over and I have gas and cylinder compression but no spark. The battery is new and the NGK plugs are new also.

Is your car 4 or 6 cylinder. The 4 cylinder engine uses two coils, red wire at coil should have power, the black wire is ground and the third wire gets triggered to ground by the powertrain computer to initiate high tension spark. The computer needs to see crank and cam angle sensor signals to determine when to generate spark. The 6 cylinder engine uses a distributor but similar principle one wire has power. There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars.. The information is year make and model specific, covering repair procedures, torque specifications, fluid capacities and specifications, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect....
