I have no horn+no cruscontrol+and the airbag light stays on.whats wrong? on 1999 Subaru Impreza Outback

vin#jf1-gf4853 wg806053 I'm thanking it is the roll connector/clockspring. hope you can help me, the part from the subaru dealer is 450.00 +tax please help TOM

The clockspring or a bad connection at the clockspring would cause the problems that you're having. Especially if the steering column has been disconnected from the rack & pinion recently. The light is on because there is a problem with the air bag system. When the air bag light is on the system is not working and will not deploy in the event of an accident. When the air bag light is on the system has set a code in the computer a scanning device can retrieve the code. The code will give you a clue where the problem is. you have to check out the code.
