Question: I have manual 5 speed transmission, lookouts are locked and its in 4 high.

Question

    Try pulling off the cover where the shift lever goes in and see if you can make sense of anything, before you yank out the entire transmission and do an over haul. Sometimes a pin comes off on a shift rail and you can access it through the shift lever hole, not a high percentage repair, but you will have to remove the lever any way to remove the tranny, so no harm no foul.

    The transmission works fine, its the 4wd that's not engaging to the front end
