i have a steering problem on 1993 Buick Skylark

when i turn left, even a lil, it makes a groaning noise. but when i turn right its quiet

It could be that your power steering belt is starting to slip. On a car of this year, due to wear and tear, one side will be a little bit less efficient than the other side and may work the pump a bit harder so it will groan, like the sound that your describing.

Check the fluid, should be red not brown. What's the belt look like. Could also be wheel bearings in a GM. Good luck and happy holidays.
