I have a load ticking noise, like a lazy lifter, however I've been told there on 2006 Dodge Magnum

no lifters, I have been told it sounds like a carbon knock, I have tried a gas cleaner, and oil as well..any answer?

Which engine...will be helpful..!! Only 4 different options...
3.5 High Output
Ticking is different form knocking! Have a mechanic listen to it...should be able to tell if it's in the valve train or not...
sorry its a loud ticking, which I have had a mechanic listen to and that's when he thought carbon build up, so we ran cleaners in the gas, and oil, and higher octane gas, 3 tanks of gas later, I still have the ticking, and the only change has been in the start up in the morning, and after warming up, the ticking starts, and as i travel it just gets louder.
I do not think it is carbon related! Have another mech listen to it....may have to pull valve cover(s)...good fresh oil and the proper sae (type) may help..
THANK YOU
Anytime!

The 3.5L HO have a rocker arm assembly malfunction due to poor lubrication holes
So youll have to change the faulty one. On my magnum I changed both just incase th other
