I am looking for the location of the crankshaft position sensor can anyone help? I have been all over the engine and there are no grey 3 prong plugs,even though the part i have is grey and three prong. It is from BWD Automotive part #css585 crankshaft position sensor for 1990 audi quattro 80

    Are you sure the 1989 has a crank sensor? I looked up the part for a 1990 and found it, but they didn't list one for the 1989.
    Are you possibly thinking of the sensor in the distributor?
