Question: I have a 2006 Nissan Altima and my gear shift gets stuck frim time to time, here

I have a 2006 Nissan Altima and my gear shift gets stuck frim time to time, here recently it got stuck and I forced the gear shift into to drive, the next day when I got in it to drive to work, it wont shift into R, N, or D. My vehicle is stuck in park when the gear shift moves to Drive, what could cause this and how can I get it fixed

    sometimes that happens with auto transmissions, just by keeping foot on brake and jigling the shift usually frees it; however if it gets stuck there should be a little cover close to gear shift that when opened there is a reset button that unlocks transmission
