Question: I have a 2003 Honda Pilot, Never had any wreck, no accident why is the SRS light

Do I have to take to dealership or can I just fix it myself?

    That light coming on means there is a code in the system. Unfortunately most cheaper scanners people have outside of a shop wont pull that code. More than likely you will have to go to the dealer or a decent shop. it could be an easy fix but without the code you will be stuck without the code.

    you need the dealer for this. it needs to be properly diaged with a scan tool and the proper repairs made.

    Is there any reputable Honda/Acura independent repair shop in you area, lots of shops that specialize in Asian or Honda Acura cars have aftermarket scan tools that will rad the codes for SRS

    You do not need to take it to a dealer. Any shop that has a up to date full scanner will be able to read the SRS codes. Get those codes and comeback here and we can help you.
