2000 Chevrolet Blazer Q&A

2000 Chevrolet Blazer Question: I have a 2000 Chevy blazer.. every once in awhile when I"m on the highway

and I hit 55 mph or faster I hear a brief roaring noise.. I tap my brakes and it quits...happens about once a week. the other day it happened back to back within a few minutes.. any clue what this is? My ex husband thinks if it was a wheel bearing it would be doing it all the time.. help! -

Mine does it too, same vehicle, i think it's air cleaner related. Never noticed brakes making any difference, just letting off of the gas pedal stops mine. It is intermittent also but i dont pay it much mind. Now you may have something entirely different! Can you feel anything when it acts up, like a vibration? -

I had my ex husband ride with me tonight so he could listen.. of course it never does it when you want it too... on the way home it did it.. but he was yapping lol... when I let off the gas it quits... when we got back to his house he jacked up the front end and checked the front differentials.. it was almost bone dry... we ran to auto part store and got the fluids so he could fill it back up.. hope that was the problem.. at least we started there first... -

I know sometimes i send 3 or 4 replies! Well mine is so intermittent it can't be a lube issue, so let me know if that fixes yours. Good luck with it! -
