Question: i have a 1998 bmw 740i,my belt tore of the fan is loose and water leaking.

MasterSounds like your water pump has gone bad. If the water leaking seems to be dripping off crankshaft pulley, then it is your water pump. http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/4220/serppattern5sp.jpg This would cause your fan to be loose as well.
