I have a 15 minute drive to my mechanic and I don't want to have coolant all over the place and cause more havoc. Just want to know if there is any product or sealant reliable enough to hold this small slit until I can get to the mechanic shop.

Duct tape, after drying hose off should hold long enough to get to the shop.

Thanks ... that's what I was thinking of course after drying it off. However, I had my son drive it over to the shop and stop periodically to replace the coolant that was lost while in route. Everything worked out fine. The hose was replaced. Thanks for your time.
