2008 Dodge Avenger Question: I have 2008 Dodge Avenger my battery light came on but the power did not go off

they said I needed to replace the Alternator so I did no light came on for about a week now its back on again they say my battery is fine even they I have had it a few years what else could be the problem Please someone help me I dont want to be stranded any where....

    check the volts at the alternator should be between 13.8 to 14.2v

    AUTO ZONE ADVANCE AUTO SHOULD BE ABLE TO CHECK ALT. OUTPUT FOR FREE.

    Problem could also be wiring or PCM (powertrain control module) alternator is controled by cars computer (PCM). have alternator 'bench tested' and if functioning properly other parts of the system should be TESTED before putting more parts on. Good luck.
