My friend replaced the blown head gasket. In the month since this, my car has had 2 broken serpentine belts, Each roughly two weeks apart. My friend says all the pulleys work properly and can see or find nothing wrong. Somebody on the phone said my pulleys might not be aligned properly. Also it seems to be heading towards overheating, not sure. Should I get a flush and fill and the pulleys aligned? Thanks

You need a mechanic to take a look to be sure, friends are friends not professionals.

My friend is a retired mechanic who worked for Buick. He has did a lot of work for me and it has all been great, but this is the first head gasket I have blown.
