Most/many modern PCM/ECMs require programming (some since 1990). A reputable shop should be able to give you the out the door price with parts, labor including programming fees, taxes and hazmat/shop supplies as applicable to the cent. Occasionally they may have to make a call and get a call back from parts suppliers on part cost and availability for less common special order parts. They also may need more information like VIN, production date, emission level and even the ECM/PCM part/calibration number to get the correct part and cost and if vehicle is not there can be hard to do. Many will quote a low cost without taxes/fees & the info then when you get there it will go up because it is a different module needed and you did not tell them (they make it your fault). Please call Roy at CarMasters 757-456-0722 and you should get an accurate quote and yes we program Fords (may sure if your vehicle has a PATS (passive anti theft system) that you bring 2 PATS keys with as Ford requires 2 keys be present to complete module programming
