2005 Chevrolet Colorado Question: I had the dealer replace a thermostat in my truck about a year ago.

 Rookie

Now my water pump has started leaking. I have had no other cooling problems in 96000 miles. System is in good condition.

    Not really sure what your question is. I would recommend that new anti freeze coolant be used when the water pump is relaced.

    These two components are separate from each other. It could be the gasket for the thermostat connection is leaking and needs redone but, the water pump is a separate part from the thermostat and not related to the previous repair.
