The car drove fine then started to dump fuel and thick white smoke came from tailpipe along with gas. It also seemed not to be getting any power. I change the injectors and the fuel regulator prior to looking online to see that the ECU was often the culprit of these symptoms. Aftering change the ECU with a matching salvaged part the car now wont start, I even tried putting the old ECU back in to no avail.

Looks like you have created more problems. Could have been a rather easy diagnosis if an experienced technician would have checked it for you. Now you need to find one to help. We would like to help, but can not over the internet, seek a professional in your area to help you.

I only had done what the mechanic at the time told me to try. It wasn't until my mechanic left me high and dry that I resorted to looking it up online. I honestly thought that the ECU would fix the problem because so many had the same issues and went through the same trial and error.

Using used electronic parts from a wrecking yard; You don't know if it was shorted out do to the accident or not, and maybe now it might have caused other damage to your car electronics. When it comes to electronics, pay someone else to diagnose your problems, and replace the parts. It now needs professional attention.

That's what I thought but I am unsure of where to get this done. I called lexus and the said the only reflash factory ECU's. And I have tried calling a place to get it done but they said my year did not have a chip or transponder... I just don't know maybe I'm not understanding fully... But I do feel it is something fairly simple as the motor was good.
