Question: I am unable to open the driver's door from the inside. How easy is this to fix?

It feels like there is no "connection" between the handle and the door mechanism. The door opens without issue using the outside handle.

What would the approximate cost be if I took it to a shop?

    pull door panel and insp clips that hold unlock rod to handle. they are plastic and break at times. simple job but be careful not to break door panel or switches

    Thanks, much appreciated. I am not that mechanically minded, so will probably have my local shop do it. Is it an expensive job? What would be the estimated hours?

    poss 1 hr labor and the parts is like 3 bucks
