check if you have crank signal I have changed many crank position sensors. I have seen the balance shaft belt break and take out the sensor. You will need a scope to check the sensor.
You need a wiring diagram and trouble shooting flow chart. Kia as a car manufacturer put a lot of great technical information and work shop manuals on line for free for Kia owners. www.kiatechinfo.com
thanks i will check it out i have had acouple of mechanics look at it each has had there own ideas but still no luck it has just cost me replaceing parts that wernt bad is there a fuseable link or relay that i am missing the only part i havent replaced is the crank sensor every body has told me, it would still get spark if the sensor is bad is that true ? kia told me if the pcm is bad 1800.00 & would have to be coded at the dealership?
Ok I was thinking hyundai not kia sorry for the confussion. Kia is a ground issue hyundai is the crank sensor. So anyway clean all grounds under battery box and on intake before you buy computer. My experience I never had to buy a computer. Also find a better ground at computer. clean paint away and use star washers kia's are ground nightmares. If you decide you need help I will charge $80 to find the answer. good luck
