Ask a Chevy dealership what year engines can be put in a 2004 Aveo. Usually there are a few years that will work.

You will have to take your car to the nearest Chevrolet/GM dealer right away and you might have to get your car towed. They will be able to tell you if you need a new motor or not. I would not replace it if I were you though. If you DO know how to repair cars, then be very cautious how to do that repair. If you do it right, then you will be OK. If not, and you run into other problems, then you will be totally sorry...it will cost you if your replace the motor yourself. Please take it to your dealer and they will replace it for you.
