Any water that entered the ignition system would have well evaporated by now. I would check ignition timing, oxygen sensor values, the coolant temperature sensor, looking at scan tool information would be helpful to look at fuel trim figures. Not sure if it is that year range but cleaning the air flow meter with approved cleaner definitely (CRC product # 05110 ) affects power and fuel economy.

Thanks! come to mention it, the vehicle does sputter/ puddder on the cold start and almost cuts off when trying to give it more gas to go. However, when the temperature gets to normal, usually in about 2 minutes or so, the car runs fine. I always noticed though the power is not quite what it use to be. I did change the catalytic converter last year and the oxygen sensor. But you would think the shop I took it to would have told that was bad at this point wouldn't you agree? I am assuming you mean replace fule temperature sensor and the coolant sensor?
