Have bypassed the ignition switch by installing the relevant value of resistor between switch and bulkhead wiring block. But security light keeps coming on ( steady ) car runs perfect, light will go out while driving for a couple of days, then will come back on. The car will start if the light is on most of the time but every now and then will have wait for 3 minutes for it to reset. Is there a permanent fix without having to buy new TDM.? Have come across a full vats bypass module on the net, anybody know anything about this bypass module and would it be worth buying one. Any help with this problem would appreciated.

No codes showing for TDM or BCM only have one code showing for the MAF sensor P1020 circuit A low, have new MAF sensor on order. Have this morning managed to get the security light to go out by unlocking and locking driver door with key. Did this once before and it stayed off for about a week, so expect it will come back on again soon. Also gone thru the relearn procedure, that works but again only lasts for about a week. Car runs perfect, even starts up with the light on steady, if I scratch my head anymore i'll have no hair left.! Tried to remove the TDM but cant get the plug out of the socket.! Best let you know I live in the U.K. and not Tacoma as showing on my profile, had the car shipped over from New York. Really cant fault the car just this GM vats system, apart from that love the car. Any assistance with this problem will be greatly received...Many thanks for contacting me..Ian
