For vehicles equipped with a 7 inch TFT-LCD instrument cluster, the incorrect vehicle speed may appear, and various warning lights may illuminate erroneously, or not operate at all. This could increase risk of a crash.
The brake pedal mounted switch that turns the brake lights on and off as well as releases the transmission shift lever lock so it may be shifted out of park may stick in the on position. Brake lights may remain illuminated as a result, and the transmission shift lever may be moved from the park position without the brake pedal being depressed. This could lead to a crash.
The second stage of the dual stage driver's frontal air bag may not deploy properly in a crash when needed. This would result in increased risk of injury.
The power steering assist may fail, resulting in more difficult steering. This could result in loss of vehicle control and a crash.
