how to set my timing on my Dodge dakota with a Timing Light on 1990 Dodge Dakota

I have a 1990 Dodge Dakota with a 3.9 engine what do i set the Timing on it with a Timing light what Degree?

You need to disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor to set the timing. Sorry, I don't have the timing spec but it should be under the hood on the information sticker. You may be able to find a spec in a manual in the public library, or there are a couple of information websites below: For AllData: Here's the one for Mitchell as well:

10 btdc is what manuel says i find 11 gives better performance
