There is a service bulletin from Nissan about those valves giving trouble and what needs to be done to correct the issue. Canister purge valve that regulates flow of fuel vapor to the engine is in the front center of the engine according to the image I am looking at.
Canister vent valve is on the canister at the back under the truck. Remove the inner fender liner left rear to get access to the canister and vent valve.

i had it checked at Nissan and they told me the sensor was in the canisterin the rear of the pathfinder.. where could i read the service bulletin? i had this same sensor replaced in 2007... dealer quoted a price of $270.00 and told me the sensor was $110.00... is that a good price is i decided to have the dealer replace this yet again?
