I have seen a lot on the web forums asking the question and also that a lot of 2006 silverado owners are having this problem. I have burned out lights on my steering wheel controls. I would like to find an explaination with pics or video on how to replace these lights. Can anyone please help?

Make sure you first disconnect the battery to discharge the airbag. I am afraid I am not knowledgeable with the Silverado. Perhaps look on Youtube all sorts of videos there. Call the dealer service department ask them what is the cure and how much they would charge to fix the problem. There is a company that independent auto repair shops get their information from, this same information is available inexpensively for people that work on their own cars.. The information is year make and model specific, covering repair procedures, torque specifications, fluid capacities and specifications, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... Also check with the dealership parts department. They can give you a printout diagram of how it all is put together, at no charge.
