    Disconnect the negative battery cable. Raise car onto stands safely and remove undercar splash panel. Disconnect the electrical connections to the starter. Unbolt the starter and lower it to the ground safely. Reverse the procedure to reassemble. Torque the starter m,ounting bolts to 27-38 lb-ft.
