what are the steps to replace dash cluster

    Remove front pillar garnish.
    Front door inside scuff plate by pulling.
    Remove front door opening cover by pulling.
    Remove hood lock release lever.Slide the lever forwards to remove it.
    Remove the clip and cowl side trim by pulling.
    Remove steering wheel.
    Remove steering column cover.



    Remove console upper panel. Using a screwdriver, remove the panel then disconnect the connector.
    NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




    Remove 2 bolts, 2 screws and rear console box.



    Remove coin box.
    Press on the sides of the box while pulling the box outwards.
    Remove the box.



    Remove instrument panel lower pad.
    Remove 2 screws and the coin box bezel.
    Remove 4 bolts, the screw and the lower pad.
    Remove combination switch.



    Remove under cover No. 2 by pulling.



    Remove instrument lower panel.
    Remove 2 screws.
    Remove the lower panel by pulling.
    Remove front console box.
    Remove glove compartment door.



    Remove glove compartment.
    NOTE: Tape a screwdriver tip before use.

    Remove the glove compartment door finish plate inside the instrument panel box.
    NOTE: When handling the airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

    Pull up and disconnect the airbag connector.
    Remove 5 screws.
    Remove the compartment by pulling.



    Remove center cluster finish panel. Using a screwdriver, remove the panel then disconnect the connectors.
    NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




    Remove cluster finish panel.
    Remove 4 screws.
    Using a screwdriver remove the panel.
    NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    Disconnect the connectors.
    Remove register No. 1 and No. 2.
    Remove the radio.
    Remove combination meter.



    Remove heater control.
    Pull of the heater control knobs.
    Remove 5 screws and hang the heater control.



    Disconnect the air mix damper control cable.
    Remove the heater control.



    Remove duct heater to register No. 2. Remove the clip and the register No.2.



    Remove front passenger airbag assembly.
    Remove the LH side installation bolt. Torque: 8.0 Nm (69 in. lb)



    Remove 5 bolts and 2 clips. Torque:
    Bolt A: 21 Nm (15 ft lb)
    Bolt B: 8.0 Nm (69 in.-lb)

    CAUTION:

    Do not store the front passenger airbag assembly with the airbag door facing down.
    Never disassemble the front passenger airbag assembly.
    NOTE: The 2 bolts to the instrument panel have been rust treated. When the front passenger airbag assembly is removed, always replace the bolts with new ones.

    Remove side defroster nozzle No. 2.
    NOTE: Tape the screwdriver tip before use.




    Remove instrument panel.
    Disconnect the connectors.
    Remove the bolt.
    Remove the connector holder.



    Disconnect the connectors.
    Remove the bolt.



    Remove the 8 bolts, 2 nuts and the instrument panel. Torque: 8.0 Nm (69 in. lb)
    Remove the duct heater to register No.4 and No.5.



    Remove instrument panel reinforcement. Remove the parts as shown in the illustration.
    DISASSEMBLY

    Assembly is in the reverse order of disassembly.

    Remove following parts from instrument panel.
    Duct heater to register No.1.
    Duct heater to register No.3.
    Defroster nozzle.
    Register No.3.
    Center bracket.
    Mounting bracket No.1.
    Safety Pad Sub-Assembly.
    Side Defroster nozzle No.1.
    Lower finish panel.



    Remove 2 bolts and the lower mounting bracket No. 1
    Remove 2 bolts and the lower mounting bracket No. 2
    Remove 5 screws, the clip and the instrument panel wire.
    ASSEMBLY

    Assembly is in reverse order of disassembly.

    INSTALLATION

    Installation is in the reverse order of removal.
