Hopefully someone who has recently replaced one will respond. If not look at www.autozone.com ,they have on line for free workshop manuals for many popular vehicles. There is a company that independent auto repair shops "buy" their information from that offer a very reasonable service to do it yourselvers. You get a one year subscription to year make and model specific repair procedures, service bulletins, component locations, wiring diagrams ect.... great quality information same as the professionals have ,much better than generic workshop manuals from parts stores, much cheaper than the factory manual. http://www.alldatadiy.com/

I'm trying to do this as well, from what I can tell form my car, '95 chevy lumina' the cable end at the transmission pries off and then squeezes through a bracket. my problem, is that I can't get the connector to pry loose.
