purchase a chilton manuel for it. makes it easier. or smaal block 350 book.but first get rid of everything in front of the motor.fan,alternator,a/c powersteering etc. then remove both mounting brackets that mounted all of those components. remove intake manifold label all vacume hoses so you know where they go and unplug all wires. label them if your not sure but they pretty much only go to where they're supposed to.take off valve covers and remove rocker arms and push rods. if reusing them make sure you label where they came out of. remove head bolts inside and outside of head then a little bit of elbow grease or pry bar and off comes the head.use new bolts when installing with thread locker. clean block as best as possible try not to get anything in the piston ports and use a tap to get old thread locker out of block where the head bolts go.when installing get a chilton manuel so you know all torque specs and and how to proberly lubricate components. make sure you double check and recheck everything you pulled apart to see if they're in working order that way you can get everything in one shot.hope that helps
