I have seen the theft system get in a mode where the flashers were flashing & you could hear the relays clicking inside the car. The car would not start, but the alarm ws not sounding. I think these may have been a deeler option security system. After fiddling around with the door remote... pressing lock & then unlock for about 10 minutes, it finally allowed me to start the car.
