2006 Chevrolet Cobalt Question: How to jump start this car...where's the battery

, Cleveland, OH, December 02, 2009, 16:48

Haven't driven the car for 3 weeks. Car wouldn't start. When key is turned, lights come on, radio, etc. But it will NOT turn over. Went to perform a jump and boy were we surprised when we lifted the hood. Where's the battery, and how do we perform a jump???

The battery in your 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt is located in the spare tire well in the trunk. When jump starting your Cobalt you should find a marked post for the positive and negative cables under the hood where you can connect the jumper cables. You should be able to find all of this and other information related to jump starting your Cobalt in the factory supplied owners manual.

The battery is in the trunk. The owners manual tells you how to jumpstart with the cobalt. There is a remote terminal under the hood.

The battery is in the trunk. To jump there is a post under the hood for this.
