How to get my car to start? on 2001 Volvo V70 XC

I just had a new battery installed. They also did a software update for a faulty "12 V rear in use" message (when the 12 V rear plug has never been used). Now the car is completely dead. Key fob won't open door locks and nothing happens when I turn the key (no clicking, no nothing). Thoughts?

It sounds like one of the control modules in the car stopped working after the SW download. You don't mention who worked on this, but I suggest your best bet will be to go to a Volvo dealer and have them look into this. They can access information both in your car and from Volvo that may assist in figuring this out. Good Luck

IF YOU HAVE A FULLY CHARGED BATTERY IN THE CAR .TRY WHAT IS CALLED A BATTERY RESET .REMOVE BOTH POSITIVE AND NEGITIVE CALBLES FROM BATTERY POSTS AND TOUCH BOTH CABLES TOGETHER FOR ABOUT 1-MINUTE.DO THIS WITH OUT TOUCHING THE BATTERY POSTS ON THE BATTERY . AFTER A MINUTE PUT THEM BACK ON THE BATTERY.POSITIVE WITH POSITIVE AND NEGITIVE WITH NEGITIVE. AND SEE IF THE CAR COMES OUT OF LIMP MODE.
