Question: how to get auto conv.top to operate

the lite is red between the up-down buttons when the ignition key is in on position,always. top can only be manually operated. the shelf in trunk is in the lower position. any electrical troubleshooting or advice would be helpfull; motor,connections,switches, etc.

    you seem to be just pushing dealer or mechanics sales instead of even an intelligent answer. if this site is just that no thanks. sorry for wasting my time

    your non response to a direct question reaffirms my previous opinion! I am just asking for help to avoid the dealer, and other shops to fix this problem. obviously you have no aswer that is credible, or just do not have the expertise to solve any problem,other than to send me to a dealer or shop to rip me off; since you gave me no info. at all. NOW I SEE WHY YOU ARE THE MOST RESPONDANT SO CALLED MASTER MECHANIC TO RESPOND. I DID NOT GUESS AT ANYTHING AS YOU SUGGEST, AND I NEVER RECEIVED ANY FACTS THAT YOU CLAIMED YOU FORWARDED; IN FACT YOU JUST RESPOND TO ANYTHING WITH ABSOLUTELY USELESS JIBBERISH.
    THAT MAKES ME LEARY OF ANYONE CLAIMING TO BE A MECHANIC ON THE INTERNET, NO LESS EVEN MASTER.
    STOP WAISTING MY TIME WITH ABSOLUTELY NO HELP!
    THIS MESSAGE IS NOT TO YOU BUT FOR ALL THE OTHER PEOPLE WHO MIGHT SEEK HELP ON THIS SITE IN VAIN- OTHER THAN TO SEEK YOUR SPONSORD HELP!!!
