2001 Mazda Millenia Question: How to fix Oil Leak

Question

Can oil leak cause heating problems? The car does not overheat easily as before after replacing the thermostat, sensor, upper hose and overflow tank and cap.But despite the replacement of the valve cover gasket, oil is leaking badly around the "neck" of the coil pack (front driver's side)and pouring on alternator (passenger's side). Is this problem specific to that type of Mazda? The leak is bad around crank. Is it a problem of worn gasket that needs replacement?
Please help with some advice. Thanks.

ON OIL LEAKS ALWAYS START AT THE TOP AND WORK YOUR WAY DOWN. SOUNDS LIKE POSS SEAL AROUND SPARK PLUG TUBE IS LEAKING. DID YOU RESEAL THAT ALSO?

The oil leak is around the valve cover (bought and replaced the valve gasket, though) and around the coil pack/distributor. What is that sealing like? Is it a gasket or some liquid sealant that should be run around the part before tightening the what you call spark plug tube? is distributor cap what you mean by"spark tube"? Thanks and waiting for your feedback.
