It depends what part of the fuel line you are trying to disconnect. Many vehicles need a special tool that you place on the fuel line and slip into the fuel line fitting or fuel filter to allow the fuel line to release. A company named Lisle make an inexpensive tool to remove these fuel lines available at ant auto parts store.
